Jonny Wilkinson signs new Toulon deal until summer 2013

Wilkinson’s new deal, announced on Monday, could potentially put the fly-half’s England future in doubt.

Australia captain Ricky Ponting has said he regrets arguing with umpire Aleem Dar after disagreeing with a review against Kevin Pietersen.
Ponting was fined 40% of his match fee over the incident and told Australian broadcaster ABC: “There’s no doubt my actions have caused a massive reaction.
“I understand I overstepped the mark. I realise it didn’t look good but the umpires vouched for me.

Sebastian Vettel has hinted he is ready to help Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber win the world title at the last race of the season if he cannot do it himself.
The German kept his chances alive by winning Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix.
But Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso can finish fourth in Abu Dhabi and still take the title if Vettel wins, but needs to be second if Webber does.
